Nonfiction Series Submission

Submissions for the 2026 Cinema Eye Broadcast Honors are open from April 30, 2025 – May 23, 2025. Late submissions after this date will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Submissions for Nonfiction Series are $475 + 5% handling fee. Series submitted will also be considered for the Broadcast Cinematography and Broadcast Editing Honors.

Please note the following eligibility rules for Nonfiction Series at the 19th Annual Cinema Eye Honors:

Nonfiction Series

1. The Nonfiction Series Award is for a one-off series or a single season of an ongoing series that consists of 3 parts or more and has a single, contained narrative that must be watched in order (examples: The Jinx, Making a Murderer, America to Me).
2. All episodes/parts must have a credited director(s).
3. The first part/episode of the Series must have been broadcast/streamed between June 1, 2024 and July 11, 2025 and no later than 12 months after its first public screening.
4. Individual parts/episodes may be of any length, but the complete Series must have a total run time of 60 minutes or more.
5. Named nominees in this category will be the Director(s). You must have a Directed by or Director credit on at least one of the episodes that was submitted for the committee to view. Co-Directors, Directors of non-submitted episodes or Assistant Directors are not eligible for this award.

Please review the submission rules for Broadcast Nonfiction Awards to determine the eligibility of Editors and Cinematographers.

And finally, please supply a password-protected online link for our Nominations Committee. Links and passwords must be active from the time you submit your film until the end of September 2025. For series, please indicate which episode you would want the nominations committee to view in the first round AND which additional episode you want the committee to view if it reaches the 2nd round.
