The second edition of Cinema Eye was held at New York City’s TimesCenter on 41st Street on March 29, 2009. Ari Folman’s Waltz with Bashir received four honors, including Outstanding Achievement in Direction and for Original Score, which was the first time that category was presented. Fresh off its Oscar win for Best Documentary Feature, James Marsh’s Man on Wire took three honors, including Outstanding Achievement in Nonfiction Feature Filmmaking, Production and Editing. Yung Chang received the Outstanding Debut trophy for Up the Yangtze as well as the Audience Choice Prize. Presenters at the event included Al Maysles, DA Pennebaker & Chris Hegedus, Morgan Spurlock, Jennifer Venditti, Yance Ford and musician/artist Laurie Anderson.
